Our parent holding corporation, Grupo Do It S.A. is involved in the largest retail hardware and construction material business in Costa Rica. The Papagayo Do It Center is our regional headquarters for Guanacaste and co-owned with Grupo Progreso, the largest wholesaler of heavy construction materials in Costa Rica with 60 retail hardware stores. We work with top engineers, construction companies and project managers to supply Costa Rica with the most diverse line of products from construction materials to hardware, industrial and home furnishings.
The development arm of Grupo Do It, Do It Development, focuses on subdivisions, urbanization, condominium and master planning with emphasis on the permitting of turnkey projects and complete infrastructure solutions. Our latest project, Sun Ranch, located 2 kilometers from the Liberia International airport, consists of 2223 acres of a master planned community including a $40 million dollar state of the art Hospital Clinica Biblica designed to facilitate the medical tourism sector. Our diverse portfolio includes real estate holdings, commercial centers, hardware stores, gas stations, block factories and a wholesale import company.
Do It Foundation: A Costa Rica charity started in 2005 to help assist rural Costa Rican schools by supplying building materials and general maintenance to make class rooms and learning environments safe. We are also the Costa Rican distribution partners of The Free Wheelchair Mission of California. The charity is responsible for importing, assembling and later donating, over 9000 wheelchairs for less fortunate Costa Ricans. Assisting us in our vision are Hospital Clinica Biblica, an 80 year old Christian non-profit hospital, local health departments throughout various municipalities, area churches, the Red Cross and The Lions Club. Three of our directors also sit on the development board for Hospital Clinica Biblica Guanacaste.
